Our wood moulding collection is categorized to find shapes intuitively and logically and is arranged by architecturally common categories and sub-categories. In some cases, mouldings are duplicated in multiple categories because the shape can be used in various applications. For example, a casing may be applied as a baseboard, or a crown mold can be used as a base cap or panel mold.
Most mouldings in our collection can be modified for length, width, and thickness. Our base caps and panel molds can have a rabbet designed for recessed paneling or for use as a wainscot cap. Select a moulding and we will custom fit any curving wall, arched entryway, window, or jamb.
Why Your Choice of Custom Wood Molding Matters
You might only install wood molding and trims because every home seems to have these features. While a wood trim is a time-tested feature in most homes, there are good reasons to choose your mouldings carefully. Discovering how these features can affect your living spaces will help you select a moulding collection that will better fit them.
Mouldings Complement Other Home Features
While you should choose a custom wood trim that you find attractive, it should also go well with your other home features. Bookcases, cabinetry, fireplaces, and other features will have handsomely carved woodwork. By matching your trim as closely to those features as possible, you can accentuate the beauty of your entire home.
Protect Your Walls With Attractive Trim
The custom moulding you install in your home will serve as a bumper or guard against abrasions and impacts. Your wall trim will reduce the risks of damaged drywall or paneling, especially if you have children or pets. Baseboards, in particular, prevent the erosion of drywall by protecting its lower edges.
Guard Against Environmental Hazards
Wind, dust, and moisture can all get into your home through minuscule gaps. And though you may not be able to fully guard against these forces, you can keep them from accessing your living spaces. In addition to installing insulation, the trim you buy from moulding suppliers will keep drafts and other threats from accessing your living space.
We are continually adding to our collection and if you wish to create a moulding that is not found, our workshop will produce custom tooling to precisely match sketched drawings, architectural blueprints, or existing wood samples.
