Backband

Backband

Backband trim is usually installed along with baseboard or door and window casing. By combining backband with other mouldings, you can create a fully customized look. It’s easy to install backband onto existing trim if you want to update the look of an entryway or room without entirely redoing the mouldings.

Backband moulding is also often used alongside wood window trim or window casing. They add exciting visual intrigue and detail to existing home elements. You often see them used as a doorway casing as well.

This is another classic type of trim that can be easily customized to match your unique aesthetic. While it’s relatively understated compared to other types of trim, its role in enhancing the visual appeal of your home as a complement to window or door casings shouldn’t be underestimated.

Backband moulding has been around since the late 19th century but is still beloved by homeowners today. This moulding’s ability to be built upon makes it ideal for more ornate profiles, but simplistic versions are still popular.

Many newer homes won’t have the natural, classic charm of wood moulding, but adding it to your home gives it a timeless look.

Many homeowners look to backbands to improve their home’s lackluster elements by providing trim that makes them look high-end. Its usefulness extends beyond aesthetics, as it’s an excellent choice for built-in cabinets and other custom carpentry projects.

You can also implement it into baseboards and crown mouldings to highlight details and create a more seamless transition between sections of your space.

Mouldings One offers a variety of backband moulding profiles for your home or building project. We can also create custom trim to match your drawings, blueprints, or existing samples. Reach out to our team with any questions about your project.
