Astragal
Astragal moldings are T-shaped to seal the gap between double doors. The molding is attached vertically to one of the pair of doors against which the opposite door strikes or closes. This helps deaden the sound of the doors closing. T-astragals are also used as an architectural element either at the base or at the top of a column. Today, this is a less common use for this style of moulding.
Whether you’re completing a historic renovation, building a new home, or want to create a specific look with double doors, Moulding One’s quality millwork is perfect for any project. View our T-astragal molding profiles below or complete our quote request form for custom millwork.
